“SOUTHOLD HISTORICAL SOCIETY 7th ANNUAL SUMMER FUNDRAISER TO TAKE PLACE July 10, 2010 !”

SOUTHOLD, NY. The Southold Historical Society is pleased to announce that the 7th annual SUMMER FUNDRAISER, a summer gala, will take place from 5:00-8:00 pm on Saturday, July 10, 2010. The event will take place at The spectacular mansion - Brecknock Hall - located in Greenport, NY.

The 7th annual summer fundraiser to be thrown by the Society, the party will feature live music in addition to a silent auction. “After the success of last years event we are pleased to offer this great evening fundraiser again,” stated Geoffrey Fleming, Director of the Society.   This years silent auction will feature wonderful themed baskets of wine, liquor, decoys and other beautiful objects.

The party will include a wine and beer bar and a great selection of finger foods, local produce - all on the grounds of and inside Brecknock Hall, the largest stone mansion on eastern Long Island.  The Hall was constructed in the 1850's for David Gelston Floyd, the grandson of Long Island's signer of the Declaration of Independence, William Floyd.

Tickets for the 7th annual fundraiser are $75 per person. Tickets can be purchased at the the Southold Historical Society Office, 54325 Main Road, Southold, opposite Rothman's department store. 

TICKETS MAY ALSO BE PURCHASED AT THE GATE THE DAY OF THE EVENT!
