Directions & Opening Schedules for Society Sites:

To the PRINCE BUILDING (Society Offices, Archives, Gift Shop, and Treasure Exchange):

Take the Long Island Expressway (LIE) to exit 71, at the end of the exit make a left onto Edwards Avenue, take Edwards Avenue across Route 25 to Sound Avenue, turn right onto Sound Avenue and take Sound Avenue until it becomes Route 48 near Mattituck (turns into double lanes here).  Continue on Route 48 to Southold - as you enter the Southold hamlet area you will pass the intersection of Horton Lane and Route 48 (Erik's Cafe will be on your left) and continue to the next intersection of Youngs Avenue and Route 48.  Make a right onto Youngs Avenue and travel over the railroad tracks to the first light - which is the intersection of Route 25 (Main Road) and Youngs Avenue.  At the light make a RIGHT hand turn onto Route 25 (Main Road).  The Prince Building is the second building on your right (You will see the Treasure Exchange sign in front).

    HOURS:  Year Round:  Office - M-F, 9-4; Archives - By Appointment.; Gift   Shop - M-Sat., 11-3.

    T. Exchange - March-April 1, Sat. & Sun., 10-3; April-Oct., Tues.-Sat., 10-4; Nov.-Dec. 16, T-W, F, Sat., 10-4.

To the MUSEUM COMPLEX (Currie-Bell House, Moore House, Ice Cream Social, etc.):

Take the Long Island Expressway (LIE) to exit 71, at the end of the exit make a left onto Edwards Avenue, take Edwards Avenue across Route 25 to Sound Avenue, turn right onto Sound Avenue and take Sound Avenue until it becomes Route 48 near Mattituck (turns into double lanes here).  Continue on Route 48 to Southold - as you enter the Southold hamlet area you will pass the intersection of Horton Lane and Route 48 (Erik's Cafe will be on your left) and continue to the next intersection of Youngs Avenue and Route 48.  Make a right onto Youngs Avenue and travel over the railroad tracks to the first light - which is the intersection of Route 25 (Main Road) and Youngs Avenue.  At the light make a LEFT hand turn onto Route 25 (Main Road).  The Museum Complex will shortly be on your right directly opposite the Southold Firehouse on the corner of Maple Lane.  Parking is available on Maple Lane or along Route 25 (Main Road).  The MAYNE EXHIBITION GALLERY is located here.

    HOURS:  July - early October:  Sunday, Wednesday, & Saturday, 1-4

To the HORTON POINT LIGHTHOUSE (Nautical Museum, Gift Shop, Tale of a Whale):

Take the Long Island Expressway (LIE) to exit 71, at the end of the exit make a left onto Edwards Avenue, take Edwards Avenue across Route 25 to Sound Avenue, turn right onto Sound Avenue and take Sound Avenue until it becomes Route 48 near Mattituck (turns into double lanes here).  Continue on Route 48 to Southold - as you enter the Southold hamlet area you will pass the intersection of Horton Lane and Route 48 (Erik's Cafe will be on your left) and continue to the next intersection of Youngs Avenue and Route 48 (From this point forward you will see blue & white directional signs for the Lighthouse).  Make a LEFT onto Youngs Avenue and travel until it ends at the intersection with the Old North Road.  Make a right hand turn onto the Old North Road and then a quick left onto Lighthouse Road.  Take Lighthouse Road until it ends at the Horton Point Lighthouse.

    HOURS:  Museum:  Memorial Day (May) - Columbus Day (October):  Saturday & Sunday, 11:30-4.
