Dear Member,
It’s that time of year again – time to renew your membership in Southold Historical Museum. You may not realize it, but your participation as a member is more and more valuable each year. As a private non-profit, members are the foundation of the organization. Without you, we would not be able to exist.
Southold Historical Museum is not supported by municipal taxes; however, we do apply for and are awarded grants throughout the year. Did you know that along with the number of visitors to our sites, these grant applications often ask how many members belong to the museum? Your financial contribution is multiplied since your membership allows us to be considered for certain grants. Plus, all of us here at the museum know that members are the biggest proponents of the museum’s mission. We appreciate that you both believe in and participate in the efforts to promote interest in and education about local history.
Certainly, the museum benefits the most by having you as a member, but there are also some benefits to you. Please check out the benefits that coincide with each membership level in the boxes below.
