Gallery Rental

The Society is committed to working with local artists and not-for-profits who would like to utilize our new exhibition space during periods when the Society is not using it for their purposes.

Please Note:

  1. Space is available on a first-come first-served basis.

  2. Preference will be given to artists who live locally and groups whose main operations are located on the North Fork of Long Island.

  3. Those groups or individuals wishing to rent the gallery space should contact the Society to discuss the types and sizes of works they propose to exhibit in the space.

POLICY

The "Policy" document under letter 'A' is a broad document, defining the purposes of the gallery, and establishing the general terms and uses of the space. While much of those information will not be pertinent to every potential renter, what is important is  the information regarding applications:

Artists/Individuals should submit a proposal that includes:

  1. Project narrative including the overall concept for the proposed exhibition.

  2. At least six (6) images of objects to be included in the exhibition.

  3. At least three (3) references from other institutions that the artist haspreviously worked with.

  4. A signed contract and payment.

  5. A Resume of training and exhibition experience [no more than one (1) page].

Not-for-profit organizations should submit a proposal that includes:

  1. Project narrative including the overall concept for the proposed exhibition.

  2. At least six (6) images of objects to be included in the exhibition.

  3. At least three (3) references from other institutions/groups that the organization has previously worked with.

  4. A signed contract and payment.

CALENDAR

The calendar under letter 'B' is a general annual calendar that breaks down the year into chunks of time used by the Society, and those periods that are available for rental.  These may change slightly year to year based on the calendar, holidays, or other Society activities.

CONTRACT

The contract under letter 'C' is fairly straight forward, and includes information on the use of the space, prices involved - the base rental price for one month is $900, conditions and requirements for both the Society and potential renters.  For organizations considering renting the space, additional insurance will be required.
