Founding Families Weekend Juried Art Show & Sale

Southold Historical Society is hosting a juried exhibition of works by artists who are residents of or have worked on the North Fork of Long Island.  From the submissions received, the jurors will select prizewinners in fine art, mixed media, photography, and sculpture.

WHEN: June 2 – 4, 2017 at the Pettit Center on the Museum Complex, 55200 Main Road, Southold, NY

ENTRY DEADLINE: Thursday 5/25/2017

 

JURORS: SEAN CLEARY; Chief Operating Officer, Phillips Auctions House, New York, NY; and SARA EVANS, Freelance Arts Writer & TBA.

           

ELIGIBILITY: Artists who are residents or who have worked on the North Fork of Long Island.  (Riverhead and East).  Eligible works include original fine art painting, mixed media photography and sculpture. No giclees.

 

ENTRY FORM / ENTRY FEE: Artists may submit a maximum of three (3) works. Entry fee is $15 per piece of work. Fees are non-refundable. Payment will serve as your acceptance of the terms and conditions in this prospectus.  Forms available @ www.southoldhistoricalsociety.org

 

DIMENSIONS: May not exceed 20” x 24”. Work must be framed, wired, and ready for hanging. Works on paper should be framed under Plexiglas or glass.

 

THEME:  Any subject representing Southold Town

 

ACCEPTANCE: Absolutely no substitutions of submitted works.

 

LIABILITY: Southold Historical Society will take great care with all work but is not responsible for any loss or damage to work while on the premises or in transit to or from the gallery. Artists may insure their work if desired.

 

SALES: All work must be for sale.  Southold Historical Society retains a 25% commission on all sales that occur during the exhibition.

Entry Requirements

DELIVERY AND PICKUP

All works & entry forms must be delivered to the Society Office in the Prince Building at
54325 Main Road, Southold, NY, no later than May 25, 2017.


Unsold works may be picked up at the close of the show.


Any work not picked up by the dates shown below will be disposed of.
