We are looking forward to two outstanding exhibits this summer. The Early Southold exhibit will take you back to the early days of our community as you view artifacts, as well as information about the Founders, Native Americans and the living conditions of these early settlers. The exhibit will feature an array of artifacts from our collection telling the story of the Homefront here in Southold during World War I.
During the summer months, we’ll begin “Walk and Talks” with me in the Mayne Gallery. We’ll exchange impressions of the stories told by the exhibits and make connections to our lives now. Children are welcomed to take part in a scavenger hunt as they explore the exhibits from a child’s point of view.
