You are invited to become a part of our dynamic team!!! Our docents and committee volunteers are the heart of Southold Historical Society. In addition to supporting our programs and events, volunteers have the chance to build friendships with local community members while they work on special projects and events.
If you love maintaining old houses, inside and out, have we got a few beautiful houses for you!! The Thomas Moore House and the Ann Currie-Bell House, just to name a few, need volunteers that will pay close attention to them. If our historical artifacts fascinate you, join the Collections or Exhibits Committees for a hands-on experience with history. If you are a salesperson at heart, join the Treasure Exchange or the Museum Gift Shop Committees to show that you can close a sale! For an experience in educational programs, join the Education of Youth or the Museum Education Committees. And of course, if lighthouses fascinate you, join the Horton Point Lighthouse Committee. (A complete list of committees can be found on our website www.southoldhistoricalsociety.org.)
Please consider joining us for a history-filled experience!
