PRESS RELEASE – FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

“An Evening of Opera at Horton Point Lighthouse on 8/16!"

SOUTHOLD, NY. The Southold Historical Society is pleased to announce that Bill Roslak will perform on keyboard with vocal accompaniment at the Horton Point Lighthouse on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at 6 p.m.  The performance will feature selections from notable operas from around the world.  The lighthouse is located at 3575 Lighthouse Road, Southold, NY 11971.

Bill Roslak graduated from Southold High School in 2009 and studied organ performance and sacred music at Westminster Choir College in Princeton, N.J. He recently appeared at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall as a tenor soloist and organist, and also performed a solo recital at the Church of Saint Mary the Virgin in Times Square.  He current serves as the organist and choirmaster at the Westhampton Presbyterian Church in Westhampton, NY.

Tickets are $10 per adult and may be purchased at the gate on the day of the event, children under 12 are free.  Please remember to bring your own chair if you do not want to sit on the lawn of the lighthouse, picnicking is welcome.  In case of rain, the performance will be held at the Southold First Presbyterian Church, 53100 Main Road, Southold, NY 11971.
