September 2016 Calendar

September 3, 2016

Dear Members,

During the Fall months, we’ll be reliving the past, celebrating the present, and planning for the future.

We’ll have a tour of our carriages in the Barn on a Saturday afternoon, and continue our conversation about the future of Historic House Museums at the Ann Currie-Bell House with a light supper. We’ll honor our present volunteers at a breakfast at O’Mally’s. Visit the Museum Complex on Columbus Day Weekend (October 8 and 9) and step back into the past by taking part in the encampment of the Revolutionary War Regiment.

We will celebrate Southold’s history during our Founding Families Weekend in June 2017. Activities will engage everyone in exploring family roots in the community, and a chance to work on genealogical research. Get together with family members from near and far to share memories and swap stories. We welcome your help and input on this event. Please call 631-765-5500 to share your ideas and to volunteer to be a part of the weekend. Most of all—spread the word that Founding Families Weekend is coming!!!!!!
