In 2017 we are looking forward to learning about the history of Southold. We will be collecting oral histories from you about your ancestors as well as recording your life experiences. These histories will be shared at various times throughout the year.
During the month of March, I invite you to share an oral history and your remembrances by visiting with me and talking about one of these topics:
What it’s like to be a member of a Southold Founding Family
Your experiences as a soldier or as a civilian living in Southold during World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, as well as other conflicts.
Your participation in the early days of wine-making on the North Fork
Please call or email me so we can set up a convenient time and place to meet and share remembrances on any Wednesday during the month of March. We can also find other times that would be convenient for you. I’m looking forward to hearing your histories!
