April Calendar

April 2, 2017

Dear Members,

You are all invited to enjoy  the festivities at Founding Families Weekend (FFW) on June 2-4.  Although we will be exploring the history of early Southold during the 1600’s and the stories of the Founding Families, all families who now call Southold “home” are welcomed to be a part of this exciting weekend.

All Southold families will have the opportunity to go on special tours of our historic houses and the Horton Point Lighthouse and take walking tours of the cemetery and Southold village.  Our speakers’ topics include how to be a genealogist, how to interpret headstones and the contributions of the Baymen of Southold, just to name a few.

On FFW, you will find a timeline (1640-present) rimming the “Family Tent” at the complex.  Family members have been sending in information about when their families first came to Southold.  Now, we ask you to send in pictures of your family to be included on the timeline.

Watch our website for the opening of registration for the event.  Hope to see you in June!
