During these snowy winter months, we have been working hard on gathering and cataloging our collection, with a focus on quilts and dolls. Our next focus will be on textiles, including clothing, bedding, home decorations and samplers. If you have an interest in textiles, become a part of the Exhibit Committee and the team that will be opening those boxes and discovering the treasures we have in our collection.
In addition, the Spring will find the SHS Exhibit committee members and volunteers working on our new exhibits of quilts and dolls in the Ann Currie-Bell House, and sprucing up the current exhibits in the Thomas Moore House, the Print Shop and the Pine Neck Barn. Please consider joining one of these groups as they create exhibits that tell Southold’s story through our collection.
Hope to see you as we discover the treasures in our collection!
