The activities will be identified with titles including: Family Events, Events for the Curious (Ages 5-95) and Events to Expand Your Knowledge. This program will link our collections, the exhibits and hands-on activities. There will be special presentations and tours, as well as demonstrations by “experts”.
The program’s themes and focus will be on these topics: Southold Lighthouses, The History of the Wine Industry, A Southold Soldier’s Experiences during the Civil War, the Hurricane Press, Quilts: Yesterday and Today, Cooking: Past, Present and Future. The first activity will be a Family Event all about Southold’s Lighthouses and the designing of a lighthouse of the future. This event will be on Saturday, May 12 at the Pine Neck Barn.
